Muda MATHIS & Sus ZWICK

Biography

 

Mathis and Zwick have worked together for a number of years across various art forms, including video. They have also collaborated with other women video artists such as Pipilotti Rist and Fränzi Madörin.

 

Muda Mathis was born in 1959 in Zurich, Switzerland. She currently lives and works in Basel, Switzerland, where she teaches performance and media, at the Institute of art, Academy of Art and Design, HGK Basel. She is also part of the artists cooperative VIA VideoAudioFotoKunst, Basel

and a member of Les Reines Prochaines, a women's Performance Band.

Since 1982 Mathis has created and produced performance, video, installation and music, exhibitions, festivals, concerts, public art, collective works and audio editions.

 

Sus Zwick (1950) born in Fribourg, Switzerland lives and works in Basel, Switzerland. She is part of the artists cooperative VIA VideoAudioFotoKunst, Basel and a member of Les Reines Prochaines, the women's performance band. Since 1979 she has worked with: video, documentary, performance, installation, music, festivals, exhibitions, concerts, public art, collective works and audio editions.
